As you walk through a gate (with a parking garage conveniently next door!), you're greeted by quaint cobblestones underfoot and in front of you, a lush courtyard garden that feels unexpected. You're in the city, yet it's so peaceful. Green. A haven where Paris takes a pause.
The hotel exudes the ambiance of a pension de famille, which perfectly describes its charm. Toile de Jouy wallpaper, timeworn wooden furniture, and bronze wall lights that have gracefully aged through time. It feels untouched, yet not dated. The staff is incredibly friendly. You truly feel at home here.
The Rooms: Spacious Enough, No More Than That
The 51 rooms range from 10 to 25 square meters. My room was on the ground floor, in the same building where breakfast is served. Not large, but sufficient. Comfortable, quiet, exactly what you need after a day in Paris. If you seek space, choose one of the larger rooms. If you're here to sleep and explore the city, the smaller option is perfectly adequate.
The Courtyard: The Real Reason to Book Here
The courtyard is the heart of the hotel. Chairs, trees, tranquility. You're sheltered, surrounded by greenery, while the city hums outside. For those wanting to unwind after a long day without venturing into a bar: this is your spot. I didn’t have breakfast at the hotel but walked each morning to Place de la Contrescarpe for a terrace coffee and then wandered into Rue Mouffetard, a street brimming with market stalls, cheese, bread, and everything a foodie dreams of. Only a five-minute stroll away.

For those who want to experience Paris without staying in an anonymous hotel. For those who prefer atmosphere over square footage. For those wanting the Latin Quarter as their base and enjoy morning coffee on a terrace rather than a buffet.
