Tram Café sits on a narrow street behind the Panthéon, in the Latin Quarter. A dark blue façade, a marble bar, bookshelves lining the walls. The café is known as a bookstore and coffee spot in one. For breakfast, order a croissant, toast with jam, or fried eggs. You can also relax with a matcha latte without feeling rushed. Closed on Mondays.

Saint Pearl; 38 Rue des Saints-Pères

Saint Pearl is located in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, behind a façade with bas-relief and stained-glass windows. Inside are marble tables, wooden benches, and stone walls. The menu combines classic brunch dishes with Asian influences: eggs Benedict, fluffy pancakes, and the famous matcha cheesecake. Small and cozy, perfect for a leisurely breakfast. I had the tastiest scrambled eggs (Japanese style) here.

Echo; 95 Rue d'Aboukir

Echo is a Californian-inspired café in the 2nd. Light, open, and relaxed atmosphere. The menu is all about all-day breakfast: good eggs, toast, fresh juices, and specialty coffee. The kind of place where you walk in at dawn and leave an hour later. Open seven days a week.

Bistrot Baguette; 22 Rue Caulaincourt

Bistrot Baguette is an artisanal bakery in Montmartre. The bread and baguettes are hand-shaped with long fermentation, which you can taste immediately. The croissants are just right. For a simple but perfect French breakfast, in a neighborhood that still belongs to the locals in the early morning. Open from seven a.m.

Holybelly; 5 Rue Lucien Sampaix

Holybelly in the 10th is a go-to spot for a hearty breakfast. The owners were inspired by the Australian coffee scene, evident in their offering: specialty coffee, fluffy pancakes with real maple syrup, bacon, and well-cooked eggs. There’s often a queue outside, but it’s worth the wait. Come early or be prepared to be patient.

Café Marlette; 51 Rue des Martyrs

Café Marlette started as a brand for organic baking mixes and evolved into one of Paris’s finest breakfast spots. Located on Rue des Martyrs in the 9th (there's also one on rue des Abbesses), with a lovely terrace to start your day. Everything is homemade and organic: bread, pastries, seasonal salads, and sandwiches. Ideal for a healthy breakfast without being boring.

Boot Café; 19 Rue du Pont aux Choux

Boot Café is one of those tiny spots in the Marais you’d miss if you didn’t know it was there. Two tables, an old façade from its days as a cobbler’s shop (still readable on the front), and pistachio cookies that keep you coming back. Uber cute, as is proper for this neighborhood. For a quick but good coffee with a treat.

Comptoir Club — 56 Rue Amelot

Comptoir Club is a corner spot in the 11th, organic and relaxed. The hipsters of the area come for good bread, good coffee, and a laid-back vibe. Not a big menu, but everything is top-notch. A place you hear about from someone in the know.

Baguett's Café; 33 Rue de Richelieu

Baguett's Café is near the Opera in the 1st arrondissement, with an ambiance that suits the area. The menu is extensive: tartines, pancakes, eggs Benedict, granola, and good coffee. A great spot to have breakfast centrally among locals.

Judy; 18 Rue de Fleurs

Judy is a fresh spot in the Latin Quarter, near the Jardin du Luxembourg. A few tables outside, next to a small deli. The vibe is light and laid-back, the menu seasonal, organic, and healthy.
